In 2015 (the year before the California drought was broken), the limited amount of spring rainfall gave the vines a jump start on their production. The absence of extreme heat in the summer gave the fruit an extended hang time and this equated to more flavorful and structured wines. The 2015 Las Brisas Pinot is luxurious and velvety on the palate. The brighter flavor/aromatic elements of Carneros Pinot Noir are evident here, but they emanate from a wine that has ample texture and body to round out the mouthfeel. We bottled only 120 cases of this wine!
