2018 Mahoney Vineyards Las Brisas Vineyard Vermentino
Gold Medal Winner - 2020 San Francisco Chronicle Wine Competition
For the past couple of vintages, Mahoney Vermentino has held an “Estate” designation on the bottle. While the term holds no legal definition, we use it to signify that the fruit in the wine comes exclusively from both of our certified sustainable Carneros vineyards.
Like our original Vermentinos, the 2018 vintage comes exclusively from our Las Brisas Vineyard where we feel the grapes show off the best of the varietal. This beautiful wine jumps out of the glass with a bright aroma profile featuring floral and citrus notes. Crisp citrus and apple flavors flow across the palate with hints of the minerality that make the varietal stand out among its Italian white rivals like Pinot Grigio..
